Reiki has been practiced for over 5,000 years and has been used by historical people like Buddha and Jesus to heal but Reiki is NOT a religion. It is a healing technique that uses the bodies natural energy and the energy that naturally occurs around us from all living things to unblock energy paths and help the body restore it’s natural healing ability. Reiki is used in modern times in hospitals around the World to speed up healing for injury, illness and surgeries.
Everyone has the ability to learn Reiki, even children can be taught to perform Reiki! Learning Reiki enables people to perform self treatment whenever they need it and to help family, friends, and pets in need. Reiki goes where it is needed so no knowledge of biology is required.
Everyone is able to receive Reiki treatment with no negative side effects except for people with pacemakers. Pacemakers can be set off by the movement of energy during Reiki treatments and people with pacemakers should not receive Reiki treatments.
Although exactly how the universal life force is able to help people to heal themselves is not exactly known or understood fully, what is known is the amazing and life changing results Reiki has brought to people and other animals for thousands of years. You do not need to understand how Reiki works, believe it will work, or be awake to receive Reiki treatment and have it be effective.
