Infrared Light Therapy Benefits

Find out what makes infrared light an excellent therapy for people in pain.

Infrared Light Therapy Benefits

Infrared radiation is a type of electromagnetic radiation, as are radio waves, ultraviolet radiation, X-rays and microwaves. Infrared (IR) light is the part of the EM spectrum that people encounter most in everyday life, although much of it goes unnoticed. It is invisible to human eyes, but people can feel it as heat. Infrared light therapy harnesses the healing power of infrared wavelengths of light. When infrared energy is delivered to injury sites and other painful areas, it dramatically increases circulation, reduces inflammation and promotes healing.

Through the subtle heating, Infrared boosts your immune system, increasing the amount of white blood cells and killer T-cells. Infrared light is an excellent therapy for promoting healing, reducing muscle soreness, muscle spasms and relief for rheumatoid arthritis.

The infrared light helps stimulate healing, which can treat acne scars, rosacea, age spots and blemishes caused by broken capillaries. Infrared therapy is often used treat wrinkles and other problems caused by poor skin support, such as translucent skin or coarse skin.
